Day 1

On arrival at Johannesburg International airport, you will look for the Falcon Safari greeting board as you enter the public area after collecting your baggage and clearing customs. Our Falcon-Safari.com representative will meet you and assist you in checking in for your Air Botswana flight to Maun.

Upon arrival at Maun airport you will be met by a representative of Delta Air in the Arrivals Hall. He will assist you with your luggage, and then show you to the light aircraft for your charter flight to Xakanaxa. This flight will take around 20 minutes, and provides you with amazing views of the Okavango Delta itself. The focus is on game viewing in this beautiful area of open grassland and ancient Mopani forest, waterways and Falcons. Activities are game drives and boating.

The Xakanaxa region of the Moremi Game Reserve consistently rewards visitors with fantastic wildlife sightings. Permanent water and varied vegetation zones combine to support the wide range of species that inhabit this area. Boating on the Xakanaxa lagoon and to the heronries of the Xobega and Gudikwa lagoons has become an iconic activity for visitors to this area.
