A scheduled Air flight from Johannesburg to Livingstone Airport and the majestic Victoria Falls – a ‘must’ for any visitor to Africa, but unfortunately the Zimbabwean Town of Victoria Falls has become a bustling, noisy and a rather unpleasant location, which is fine for those privileged enough to be isolated by the five star luxury of the Victoria Falls Hotel, but otherwise is a place to avoid except when visiting the Falls themselves.

We have chosen Chundukwa River Lodge for our guests seeking a more sympathetic environment “far from the madding crowd”. Within easy reach of Victoria Falls (25 kilometres) and set on the banks of the Zambezi on the Zambian side of the river, it is highly personalised, accommodating a maximum of 10 persons in individually designed and easily accessible rustic chalets.

During your three night stay you will have extensive opportunities to explore the Falls. The more adventurous can partake in white water rafting, bungi jumping or even surfing the rapids. The world famous ‘Flight of the Angels’ is well worth doing. You will also go out on safari in the Livingstone National Park and visit the Falls, accompanied by your personal Guide as an inclusive part of your tour.

After three nights at Chundukwa River Lodge, you transfer by car and Ferry to Kasane in Botswana (approx 60 minute), for your stay at Elephant Valley Lodge, in the Chobe Forest Reserve. This is a tented camp, and game activities include drives in the Chobe National Park, and cruises on the Chobe River.

Your next stop is the Okavango Delta. Your flight is by light aircraft from Kasane Airport to Delta Camp ( a flight time of 1hr 20mins).

Delta Camp is one of the original luxury lodges built in Africa, and is frequented by the cognoscenti wishing to get as close to nature as possible. The Camp is very protective of the environment, using only natural materials in the construction, ensuring that all waste is taken out of the Delta and prohibiting any motorboats from spoiling the natural sounds of the Okavango.

Overlooking the Boro, one of the main waterways of the Okavango, Delta Camp is imaginatively built from locally-sourced natural materials. Your private ‘reed’ bungalow has the “most comfortable beds in Africa” – (at least according to our many guests who have raved about Delta Camp), electric lights, showers with continuous hot water, and flushing toilet. It is hard to imagine surrounded by this comfort that you are in fact 65Km into the bush!

Your safaris from Delta Camp will be the most interesting during your holiday. You will explore the intricate and stunningly beautiful waterways of the Okavango Delta by mokoro, a dug out canoe poled by your personal Guide – Delta Camp are one of the few remaining Lodges still using authentic mekoro carved by the Guide, rather than the fibre glass models favoured by other Lodges. This is a truly magical experience, allowing you to view the abundant bird-life at very close range. Floating through beds of water-lilies, watching antelope, zebra, giraffe and perhaps the occasional cheetah, your memories of Delta Camp will remain with you for ever.

Walking Safaris are also featured at Delta Camp. Even the most satiated safari-goers will tell you that tracking and viewing wildlife on foot is ‘the only way to go!’ Accompanied by your personal experienced and qualified Guide, you will, in all safety and security, become part of the African landscape.

From your four night stay at Delta Camp, you will take a light aircraft flight to Maun, and then a road transfer (about 1.5hrs) to Meno a Kwena, in the Kalahari Desert.
Meno a Kwena (Tooth of the Crocodile), offers a traditionally classic tented camp experience, and where each of the seven tents is ideally situated to take in the breathtaking view over the dry Boteti Riverbed and the neighbouring Makgadikgadi National Park.

The Camp has relatively easy access to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve , Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Nxai Pans National Park.

From Meno a Kwena you return to Maun, for your Air Botswana Flight to Johannesburg Airport, arriving around 18.00 hrs. From here it is a short transfer to the conveniently located Metcourt Laurel Hotel, for a brief overnight stay. The following morning you board your flight to Vilanculos in Mozambique.

Upon arrival at Vilanculos on the coast of Mozambique, you will met and after completing Immigration formalities, transferred to the Falcon of Bazaruto by light aircraft, and experience in itself!

Bazaruto Falcon is part of the Bazaruto Archipelago Nature Reserve, and is truly the pristine tropical Falcon of our dreams. Indigo Bay Lodge is situated right on the beautiful white coral beach. You will be accommodated in one of the 24 individual beach chalets, each with stunning views over the Ocean.

The hospitality at Indigo Bay Lodge is of International standards, The cuisine is superb, with an emphasis on freshly caught seafood.

During your stay on Bazaruto, you will also have a land rover tour of the Falcon affording you the opportunity of studying the flora and fauna of the Falcon as well as many rare birds. A highlight of your stay at Bazaruto will be visiting ‘pansy Falcon’ home to the unique pansy shells, one of the rarest and most beautiful shells in the World. A sunset cruise completes your complimentary activities. Additional activities on Bazaruto include deep sea diving, deep sea fishing and saltwater fly fishing, Horse riding and the whole range of land and water sports.

After four relaxing nights on Bazaruto you will return to Vilanculos for the flight back to Johannesburg.
