This flight will take around 45 minutes, and provides spectacular views of the Chobe National Park , and its wildlife.

At the Savuti airstrip, you will be met by your Guide, and driven the short distance back to the Lodge.

Savuti Elephant Camp is located on the Savute Channel in Chobe National Park , which is in the rugged, semi-arid wilderness region of far northern Botswana . And it is a tented camp, recently under thatch, in true African style.

The area is known for its exciting game viewing and birding. This area also presents you with the rare opportunity to view rock paintings drawn by the early Bushmen, who once inhabited the region. As this camp is situated in the Chobe National Park , park regulations prohibit night drives and walking.

Savute personifies the eternal contrast of Africa – Savute is an objective lesson in aridity. Rain in this dry place is rare and water is precious. Situated on the Savute Channel, which is an eccentric waterway that fluctuates between being bone-dry or flooding, the whole ethos of Savute Elephant Camp is commiserate with its inhabitants and environment, although the camp has not seen water flowing in the channel since 1983.

You find yourself in harmony with a unique timeless place, removed from city life. In Savute, you realize that precious little has changed on these dry plains since time began. And the realization dawns that you are fortunate and privileged to be in one of the last corners of the planet governed by nature.

You will be accommodated in a luxury canvas tent, recently placed under thatch, that is perfectly suited to the desert air and features lavishly appointed en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas. The tents also have private viewing decks and comfortable outdoor lounges overlooking the Channel.

Facilities include: ‘His and hers’ vanity unit, private viewing decks, electric heaters, air conditioning, hair dryers, electric overhead fan (24 hour use), 110v/220v plugs for electric razor, facilities for charging video cameras, and 24-hour DC battery lighting in the guest rooms.

The camp also boasts a heated swimming pool

Day 4

Savute Elephant Camp offers game viewing activities in the morning and late afternoons. These activities take place on a safari viewing vehicle, designed for your comfort and safety. Activities are restricted to set regulations as the camp is within a national park.

Activities include Morning and afternoon game drives, Bird and wild animal viewing from all the decks and the swimming pool surround, all overlooking the purpose-built water hole and Visits to view Bushman rock paintings

The opportunities to view game and the astonishing bird life of this area are unsurpassed. The camp’s Rangers are almost telepathic in their ability to find game. They will point to what appears to be an empty horizon. From the emptiness, magnificent creatures will appear, as if conjured by some unearthly magic.

In the early morning and evening, your professional Ranger will guide your four-wheel drive safari vehicle to within close viewing range of impassively grazing herds of Impala, Tsessebe, Giraffe and Zebra as well as within close focus range of the powerful predators: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. You are also likely to see plenty of Wildebeest, Warthog, Kudu, Black-backed Jackals, Steenbok, Bat-eared Foxes, vultures, hornbills and eagles. And of course the elephants that congregate at the water hole right in front of the lodge.

During your stay at Savuti Elephant Camp, all your meals, snacks and drinks are included.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, and another game drive and brunch, your pilot will fly you to Khwai airstrip, around 45 minutes away.

Nestled on the edge of a leadwood and fig tree forest, overlooking the vast Khwai River floodplain and beyond into the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, sits the luxurious Khwai River Lodge. Khwai is renowned for its large concentrations of mammals and it is not unusual to see many different types of wildlife from the comfort of your own private deck. As a year round destination for wildlife, predators can regularly be seen in the area, rated as one of the most prolific in Botswana for viewing wildlife. The exceptional location of Khwai makes it’s a regular host to Elephant, Buffalo , Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dogs. Birdlife can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of wildfowl and raptors near the lodge.

This is the perfect location for observing the perennial drama of the African bushveld and provides excellent birding.
At Khwai River Lodge, you are close to Africa ‘s heartbeat and at the centre of a world that has not altered since life began.
You can sense this from the moment you arrive. Bush hats and desert boots, tall tales and long drinks, a past redolent of trophies and potent sundowners
Upon entering our Khwai River Lodge, you immediately sense its big game heritage.
For decades, as befits one of the most established game lodges in Botswana , it has hosted guests from all over the world on the safari trail.

At Khwai River Lodge you will be accommodated in luxury tents with thatched roofs featuring lavishly appointed en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas. The tents are set on decks with outdoor lounges overlooking the Khwai River . Facilities include: Air conditioning and heating, overhead fans, individual gas geysers, ‘His and hers’ vanity unit, electric heaters, 110v/220v plugs for electric razors, facilities for charging video batteries, 24-hour DC battery lighting in guest rooms, hair dryers, outside lounge, with hammock and ceiling fan, and a mini bar.

Day 7

After an early morning activity, breakfast and brunch, your Pilot will fly you to Eagle Falcon Camp, a flight of approximately 20 minutes.

Hidden from the world, deep within Botswana ‘s Okavango Delta, is the paradise we call Eagle Falcon Camp. Situated on the Falcon of Xaxaba and surrounded by Illala Palms, the camp overlooks a surrounding lagoon fed by the tranquil waterways of the Delta. The area offers exceptionally high quality wildlife viewing with prolific bird life and mammal sightings. It is also the site of one of the most romantic bars in the world, the Fish Eagle Bar, as voted by New York Times. The camp offers a cool retreat from the African sun and is shaded by a canopy of indigenous trees.
Xaxaba is one of the Delta’s most pristine natural locations, a region of myriad waterways, palm-treed Falcons and vast flood plains. Bird and animal life in this region is prolific. The camp offers game viewing by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), motorised boats and a 14-seater Sundowner cruiser.

Guests are accommodated in luxury air conditioned tents that are raised on wooden decks overlooking the lagoon. The tents feature lavishly appointed en suite bathrooms and dressing areas and have been designed to complement the natural surroundings. The main lodge area features a lounge, bar, library, dining area and a heated, full size, swimming pool.

Built to blend into its environment, with private decks overlooking the surrounding lagoon, the camps affords guests with a peaceful setting perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of the Okavango Delta.

Day 8

Even though the Okavango Delta is technically known as a swamp, the water is remarkably clear, and free of impurities. It is also heavily stocked with fish. So it will come as no surprise that this area boasts the highest concentration of magnificent fish eagles on earth. The plethora of food attracts every variety of bird with a hearty appetite for fish, including herons, cormorants, pelicans, darters and storks. Activities at Eagle Falcon include mekoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions, boating, and professionally guided walks.

During your stay at Eagle Falcon Lodge, all your meals, snacks and drinks are included.
