The Package

Day 1: Johannesburg – Livingstone
Upon your arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met by a representative and assisted onto your short road transfer to Falcon of Siankaba. On arrival you will be welcomed by the management who will show you to your room give a brief overview of the lodge and area and will then discuss which activities you would like to do during your stay.

2 x Nights at Falcon of Siankaba in a twin room with private en-suite facilities. Accommodation includes all meals, local drinks, 1 tour of the Falls, 1 sun downer cruise, canoe trip and visit to the village school.

These days are at leisure to enjoy the numerous optional activities e.g. Tour of the Falls, Bungee Jump, White Water Raft, Am or PM Elephant Back Safari, flight over the Falls, Tour of Livingstone etc, etc. These tours can be pre booked or arranged by the lodge management when you arrive.

The Falcons of Siankaba comprises of two densely-forested, sand Falcons in the Zambezi River, upstream from the internationally renowned ‘Victoria Falls’. The Falcons of Siankaba is a classic forested retreat and has been developed as a luxurious camp, offering 6 secluded chalets linked by a footbridge to the main bar and dining area. The uniquely designed chalets are constructed of teak and custom-made canvas tenting and are raised well above ground levels in the tree canopy. Private balconies extend over the river. Activities at the Lodge include guided birding and tree walks on the main Falcon’s nature trail, guided fishing trips for the elusive Zambezi Tiger, sunset river cruises and dugout canoe trips around the Falcons. Day trips to Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park (Botswana) are arranged on a daily basis. The Falcons of Siankaba is an ideal destination for people who wish to visit the Victoria Falls but who would prefer to stay away from the hustle and bustle around the Falls. It is also perfect for those who want to experience something unique and secluded. The Falcons of Siankaba is an incredibly romantic and picturesque destination which would appeal to honeymooners.

Day 3:
Today you will be transferred by road and boat to Muchenje Safari Lodge. This transfer takes approximately 2.5 hours and involves Zambia and Botswana customs and immigration en-route. This transfer is quite unique as where you cross the river is where the 4 countries being Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and Botswana all meet. On arrival you will be welcomed by the management who will show you to your room give a brief overview of the lodge and area and will then discuss which activities you would like to do during your stay. Enjoy a lovely lunch and afternoon relaxing before your pm activity. You then return to the lodge in time to freshen up before a delicious dinner accompanied by the sounds of the African bush.

2 x Nights at Muchenje Safari Lodge in a twin thatch chalet with private en-suite facilities. Accommodation includes all meals, activities, park fees, laundry, medical evacuation insurance and local beverages.

With stunning panoramic views, the Central Lodge is the heart of Muchenje. Guests can relax in the lounge, bar or lookout platform and enjoy the wonderful homely atmosphere.

Situated on the Western side of Chobe National Park, Muchenje is the only lodge in this area and offers unique prolific game experiences. Only forty minutes drive from Kasane and two hours drive from Victoria Falls. Direct flights are available into Ka sane or Victoria falls from Johannesburg, Windhoek and Gaborone. We can arrange your transfers to Muchenje Lodge.

Muchenje Lodge offers unparalleled Safari experiences for both discerning clientele and newcomers to the bush alike. Owner run and managed, attention to detail is paramount with nothing being too much trouble at Muchenje.

Muchenje accommodates just twenty guests in intimate exclusivity. The ten twin-bedded thatched chalets, all with en-suite facilities, are sited on the escarpment edge all with their own balcony and unique view. Each chalet is exquisitely furnished and great care has been taken to create a true African ‘ambience’. The Main lodge features a dining area, bar, reception, curio shop, game viewing platform and library. The feature swimming pool is built amongst natural rock formations, taking advantage of the African vista and providing a tranquil setting for guests to relax during the heat of the day. Meals are served table d’bush, wholesome and plentiful, yet well presented. Theme dinners, Vegetarians and special meal requests are catered for. Guest dine together on a long railway sleeper dining table, and dress is informal.

Day 5:
After breakfast and an early morning activity (time permitting) you will be transferred by road to Kasane Airport (10 minutes) where you will be met by your pilot and transferred by light aircraft to Savute Safari Lodge. On arrival you will be welcomed by the management who will show you to your room give a brief overview of the lodge and area and will then discuss which activities you would like to do during your stay. Enjoy lunch and a siesta before your afternoon game activity. You then return to the lodge in time to freshen up before a delicious dinner accompanied by the sounds of the African bush.

In the heart of Botswana’s Chobe National Park lies a dynamic wilderness, a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over by seven rocky outcrops that guard a relic marsh and the dry channel that was once its lifeline. Mysterious wet and dry cycles mould this landscape and dictate the nature of its wild inhabitants. This is Savute and for the moment the channel is dry. Savute Safari Lodge peers out from ancient camel thorn trees on the shore of the channel. The lounge, library and cocktail bar are situated in the exquisite thatch and timber main building, where an upstairs viewing deck allows Savute’s enchanting sunsets to mesmerize guests. A large fireplace downstairs is equally inviting on winter nights, while the delicious aroma of dinner and the prospect of candlelit dining beckons guests to the elegant dining-room. The lodge also boasts a swimming pool and shaded viewing deck, both of which overlook the channel, and where afternoon tea is served and guests can sit around the campfire after dinner. Twelve tastefully furnished twin-bedded luxury wood and thatch safari suites accommodating a maximum of 24 guests. The unique design of the suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors sets the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. Private viewing decks and en-suite facilities combine luxury and comfort with a classic wilderness experience. Daily game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles in the Savute area of the Chobe National Park, including the Savute Marsh and a visit to Gubatsa Hills and ancient San rock paintings.

Day 7:
After breakfast and an early morning activity (time permitting) you will be assisted onto your charter flight to Xugana Falcon Lodge. You will be welcomed by the Camp Managers and shown to your room. You will be accommodated in a read/ thatch chalet with private en-suite facilities.
Enjoy a leisurely buffet lunch and a little later this afternoon your guide will take you on a mokoro excursion where you explore the channels which have excellent birdlife. There is also a chance of seeing Hippo, Elephant and Crocodile as well as numerous antelope species. While on your activity enjoy sundowners while in the mokoro and watch the sun sizzles as it sets on the waterways. Return to the camp in time to freshen up before a delicious dinner on the Xugana Lagoon which is the largest lagoon in the Okavango Delta.

Xugana Falcon Lodge is situated on a wooded Falcon abutting the lagoon. It is part of Xugana private concession – widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta. Xugana accommodates just 16 guests in large raised reed and thatch chalets. The recently refurbished chalets have twin beds, en-suite facilities, with walk in showers, overhead fans and a private deck. Enjoy mokoro trips in eco-friendly dugout canoes, combined with walking to surrounding lagoons and Falcons in the concession. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, fishing for bream and tiger fish are offered as activities at the lodge. Xugana Falcon Lodge is situated on a wooded Falcon abutting the lagoon. It is part of Xugana private concession – widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta.

Day 8:
An early morning wake-up call, some tea, coffee and biscuits, and then accompanied by your Guide you go out on a walking safari. You can, in all safety track and stalk animals that you are particularly interested in seeing, a truly remarkable experience. After a leisurely three hour walk, conducted at your pace, you will return to Xugana Falcon Lodge for a hearty brunch and a rest during the heat of the day. A little later this afternoon enjoy another mokoro excursion or perhaps some fishing on a motorized boat. Enjoy a leisurely dinner.

Day 9:
An early morning wake-up call, some tea, coffee and biscuits, and then accompanied by your guide you will transferred by motor boat to Camp Moremi. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours through the serpentine channels of the Okavango Delta. You stop mid way for tea/ coffee, change boats and proceed to Camp Moremi. On arrival you will be welcomed by the management who will show you to your room give a brief overview of the lodge and area and will then discuss which activities you would like to do during your stay. Enjoy a lovely lunch and afternoon relaxing before your pm activity. You then return to the lodge in time to freshen up before a delicious dinner accompanied by the sounds of the African bush.

2 x Nights at Camp Moremi in a twin East African Meru walk in tents with private adjacent facilities. Accommodation includes all meals, activities, park fees, laundry, medical evacuation insurance and local beverages.

Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Xakanaxa is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana. Shaded by giant ebony trees, the magnificent Moremi tree lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure consisting of a main lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and stylishly decorated cocktail bar cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans. The large sun deck affords an unsurpassed view of Xakanaxa Lagoon. A secluded swimming pool, covered Boma and elevated observation platform assures Camp Moremi of its status as one of Botswana’s finest destinations. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director’s chairs. Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. His and hers towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each tent has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent. Your stay at Camp Moremi is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, all local brand drinks, scheduled game-viewing activities, park entrance fees and laundry service. Gratuities, curios, premium brand drinks and all items of a personal nature are not included. Safari activities range from tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4×4 safari vehicle, excellent bird-watching to exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat.

Day 11:
After breakfast and an early morning activity you will be transferred by light aircraft to Maun in time for your onward flight to Johannesburg.
